Thyatira: Here we find a church quite the opposite of the church in Ephesus. John Wesley said it like this, "The latter could not bear the wicked, and hated the works of the Nicolaitans; but had left his first love and first works. The former retained his first love, and had more and more works, but did bear the wicked, did not withstand them with becoming vehemence." So, just how much wickedness was being allowed? Is this 'Jezebel' mentioned here an actual woman, or is she symbolic of a spirit of false doctrines and idolatrous practices that the church did not oppose? How can we see clear signs of this infection today? Can a woman be a prophetess? Is there such a thing as a 'false Passover' or a 'false communion'? What are seducing spirits? Does 'space for repentance' have a time limit? I wanna know.
