Just how narrow is this path? Thou shalt not covet. Understanding this 10th commandment is the key to avoiding breaking the other nine. It explains that it all starts in the heart, making it the easiest to hide. It's a gateway sin. Once I've decided in my heart that I must have something that my Father hasn't given me, there's a great chance I will pursue it more than I pursue His Kingdom. I may steal, kill, or lie to get it. It'll become an idol to me, more important than God. So why do we do it, and how can we avoid it? How can we control our thoughts and stop this downhill spiral before it gets started? I wanna know.
